Heart of a Champion empowers the generous gaming community to make a difference in the lives of youth and young adults suffering from mental illness. Simply register, ask your family and friends to support your fundraising efforts, and commit to streaming while playing games on any day(s) during our official streaming period (stay tuned for date announcement). During your stream, we encourage you to ask your followers, friends, and family to tune in, watch you play, and help you reach your fundraising goal!
Q: Where does the money go?
The money you raise through Heart of a Champion will go directly to the Global Gift Foundation USA. The money raised will fund projects, initiatives, and programs designed to improve the lives of youth and young adults who face life-threatening at-risk situations and mental health. Our mission is to change the lives of at-risk youth and young adults by giving them the hope of a future, leading to them achieving fulfilling, purposeful lives.
Q: Is there an age requirement to participate?
No. youth and young adults are leading the fight against inequality. However, we do ask that if you are under thirteen, please check with your parents before registering.
Q: What kinds of games qualify?
All video games qualify! The important thing is to have fun live streaming your game(s) while doing good! It's your fundraiser—do it your way! If you are under thirteen, please check with your parents.
Q: How long do I have to stream?
This is your fundraiser – you can set your own fundraising goal, how long you want to stream and what you want to play. You don't have to do it all in one day – set your schedule! We are grateful for your support!
Q: Can I raise funds even after Heart of a Champion ends?
YES!! The site will stay active even after the event. You can put in your game time whenever works best for your schedule.

Q: Sounds like fun. How do I Register?
We thank you for your support! Registering for Heart of a Champion is easy. Click Here or Click the REGISTER link or button on the home page, follow the prompts, and answer a few questions! Once your Heart of a Champion fundraising page is ready, you can start raising funds.
Q: Why is there a Registration Fee?
We want to ensure the maximum amount of funds raised goes towards changing the lives of as many youths and young adults as possible. The registration fee covers administration costs, event t-shirt, etc. The registration fee does not count as a donation and will not go towards your fundraising goal.
Q: Can I use my streamer name?
Yes! You can use your streamer name as your profile name; make sure everyone knows your handle so they can find you and support your fundraising efforts.
Q: Is there a required fundraising goal?
We have set a $100 USD default goal; however, you can set your fundraising goal. We suggest selecting an amount that may have a particular meaning to you. Just make sure to let your supporters know why you chose that goal and its significance. If you reach your goal, don't stop. You can always change your goal.
Q: What if I don't reach my fundraising goal?
We appreciate every effort! Every dollar raised will make a difference. If you need some inspiration or tips, click here. As we build our DISCORD, you can ask other Champions for suggestions.
Q: How do I engage with other Champions?

DONATIONS
Q: I donated. Do I get a tax receipt?
Yes. A US tax receipt should have been emailed to you after you donated. If you need a copy of your receipt, please email info@globalgiftfoundationusa.org.
Q: Can I accept a cash (or check) donation? Will it count towards my fundraising goal?
If you have received a cash donation, we ask that you please get a Cashier's Check, Money Order and put your name in the memo line (please do not send cash by mail!). Send it to:

If your donor wishes to provide a check, have them make it out to Global Gift Foundation and add your name in the memo line.
We will deposit your check once received; if your name, as listed on your account, appears on the memo line, we can allocate the funds to your fundraising page. Please allow about two-three weeks for those offline donations to be reflected on your fundraising page.
Q: How do matching donations work?
Ask your employer if your company has a matching gift program. A lot of organizations sponsor programs that match charitable contributions made by their employees. You can download our TAX ID, 501(c)(3) status, or W-9 forms from this link.
LIVE STREAMING
Q: How do I stream to Twitch, YouTube, or other platforms?
There are many ways to stream your games online! Many game consoles allow you to connect to a virtual audience through applications on the system. If you are using a PC, these links may help OBS, XSplit. Once you're up and running, have a look at our streaming tip sheet.
Q: Do I have to stream?
No, streaming is optional. If you have reached your fundraising goal, that is AWESOME, and your efforts are appreciated! We hope you will stream and have fun while playing.
INTERNATIONAL
Q: I do not live in the US or North America. Can I participate?
Yes, everyone is welcome! Anyone can register to raise funds for Heart of a Champion, regardless of where you live. However, restrictions on raising money vary from country by country, and the tax receipt we issue for donations may not be valid where you live.
As Heart of a Champion grows, we hope to expand the areas where we can support vital programs while providing hope for a brighter future, help end the stigma and engage in meaningful conversations that will hopefully lessen the impact of mental health. Global Gift Foundation USA works closely with organizations throughout North, South, and Central America. We look forward to expanding Heart of a Champion in the future.
